Also known as Pacific Walnut or New Guinea Walnut, Paldao is a tree native to the Philippines. Color ranges from grey to reddish-brown, with varied grain effects with dark, irregular stripes. Occasionally crotch or swirl figuring is present, with interlocked grain. Used in architectural woodwork and furniture.
