Project Description
Quercus alba
Found primarily throughout the Eastern United States and through the Appalachian region. This oak’s heartwood is typically cream to light tan with a greyish tinge to shades of ochre in the sapwood. More pronounced and longer rays than Red Oak.
The term “Knotty” refers to veneer that has many knots throughout, as opposed to “Clear”, indicating veneer that is free of such characteristics.
