In 1997 HVI reinvented its core business by starting to value-add to its veneers by means of manufacturing spliced dimensional veneer faces for the architectural flush door, kitchen cabinet and plywood industry.  HVI has increased its production capacity from 1,000 faces per week with eight employees to 4,000 per day with 35 employees.
